scenario that led to this condition:
pwnage
went through the "install/delete appstore apps leads to all appstore apps crashing" problem documented on this forum
restored phone to pwned ipsw and restored last backup
through itunes I deleted all unneeded appstore apps and resynced
so I thought "all is good". I won't play around with trying appstore apps any more and everything will be good. Then I installed bossprefs and went into the "hide icons" panel. All the apps I deleted through itunes and were then "deleted" from the phone were listed (note: apps deleted from the phone prior to the restore are not listed) so i toggled them to invisible along with the ones i wanted hidden. then out of curiosity i went back into bossprefs and toggled a couple of the "deleted" apps back to visible to see what would happen and they reappeared on springboard.
Given the documented issues with appstore apps entering into a state where they all crash and the itunes library also gets "lost"(not deleted) is the fact that appstore apps are on the phone even after they are deleted via itunes or the phone something to worry about?
