I bought two apps I believe via the App Store (credit card on file) they went through now Apple is basically telling me I need "pay an outstanding balance" to be able to "continue to use the AppStore" is this really my fault? Shouldn't Apple have checked my balance before allowing me to download paid apps!

I am not even allowed to update my existing apps via the AppStore!

Geez in that case I'll go purchase a MacBook through the Apple Store app (bet they'd authorize that before giving it to me)

(My credit card went over due to currency exchange)

Why can't they just "take back" the apps?

It's better and cheaper to use iTunes gift cards.
I bought a $100 card for $75 off eBay this week. The deal was promoted on SlickDeals.
