Is it in iOS6? It's been remarkably absent from iOS, yet lots of headphones support it... Like the H/K BT cans sold exclusively through Apple Stores.

I've been looking for an answer on this too .. and it would appear to be 'no'. Which sucks as I've just bought a pair of Senn MM450-X assuming that my shiny new iPhone5 must be Apt-X friendly. Thanks Apple.

My Mid 2011 Mac Mini doesn't support it either although thankfully my Mid 2012 MBA does.

Is there a way to know for sure? I thought Apt-X has been supported in iOS since iOS 4?

I don't own any Apt-X gear so have no way to check.

Hi Monty,

I had the exact same issue although with a pair of MM550-x and my iPhone 5. I found this thread whilst searching for answer but also found this little device from Sennheiser that works a treat http://www.custom-cable.co.uk/sennh...st-bluetooth-wireless-stereo-transmitter.html. Now I can use my iPhone 5 and hear the music to my headphones using AptX. Maybe you wanna give it a try.
