Ok so moving into my new house and will finally have to pay for Interweb access. I've been using my neighbors (with his permission of course) for a couple years now but I'm actually looking forward to getting it setup.
That said, I'm looking for general information just to see if what I am wanting to accomplish is even doable. I am going to have an Airport Extreme connected to a 1TB ext HD and printer and a couple of the kids PC's (which I know I can do). But this is where the fun starts to begin. I'll be downloading media and also transferring photos etc. I'm sure I can do this from my MBP and send them to my Ext HD. However, in turn I want to be able to stream media to my PS3 to play on my home theater. I will then in turn connect my PSP to my PS3 so I can use remote play. Then by using the PSP I want to be able to stream media from my PS3 to the PSP from the ext hd connected to the APX. Does that make sense? Reasoning behind this is I can basically use my PSP to gain access to my home media via the PS3 and logging into the router that has all my media connected to it. Phew that's a lot to understand. I am pretty sure that when I'm not home it won't be a problem I can probably just connect and get the media of the Ext connected to the APX but I'd rather have it setup initially to do all of this.
Let me know if I creating a Visio will be easier to decipher.
