Aqara G4 doorbell hardwired with batteries installed for backup. Can anyone advise if in the Home app settings, for the doorbell, your battery percentage shows 0% and “No” for charging. Thanks.

Mine does or did too, it does that when wired. I returned mine today........ Junk, firmware update bricked it. Does the Logitech DB work any better w/HK?

Really? I thought the new firmware made it much better, especially night vision. Sorry to hear yours took a crap.

I wasn’t a fan of the Logitech. Way too many disconnects, got water behind the lens somehow and and the glass face was delaminating from body. Of course your mileage may vary. Mine was out in the open, no enclosed porch.

I still think the perfect HK doorbell doesn’t yet exist. I would’ve loved the WeMo for its FOV but that had really poor night vision and too many disconnects as well. I pretty much tried them all. My fav so far is the original Google Nest with Starling but that one doesn’t support HKSV.

Aqara is sending me a new one so I'm not entirely done yet. Maybe I just happen to get a bad one? I would like to try the Logitech one just so I can see for myself. My front door is covered pretty good so rain/heat/cold is not an issue unless there's a monsoon type wind or something.

I'm still in search of the perfect VDB and so far there is none for me. Either they have delays in notifications or the video is poor quality or they don't work with HK. My first gen Nest Door bell decided to stop working and I've been looking at all the current options. Best I've found for now is the ol' fashion door bell (push the button and it rings every time) Don't really need a camera on the door bell b/c the other cameras are catching the person long before they get to the door anyway. Heck most of the time they were gone long before I ever get a notification from the Nest DB anyway.
