AR app privacy

It seems like a lot of the new AR apps have either no privacy policy or a very generic one. Is it safe to assume that these apps will not use my iPad camera to create a secret map of my home and everything in it?

No. In general most third party apps use some kind of Facebook or google analytics (with exception few apps such as Fantastical or Things). As such I try to stick with Apple made apps.
