Hello y'all, so about 1 month ago I got myself the holy grail of cheese graters, the Mac Pro 5,1. Mine is a cross flashed one, so in reality a 4,1 flashed to 5,1 firmware. I've already upgraded my 5,1 considerably: 2x3.46 GHz Six-Core Xeon, 64 GB RAM, MSI RX 580, Sonnet PCIe 2x SATA + eSATA Combo Card, Sonnet USB 3 card and a Sonnet USB2 + Legacy FireWire 400 card. I do have a boot screen on my Mac thanks to EnableGop which I flashed into the BootROM. Currently I have Mojave and Windows 10 installed on my Mac Pro and both work great. However I'd like a more recent macOS as well (don't care too much about the latest Windows but neither do I about the latest macOS). I was thinking about Big Sur but my WiFi card is an AR5BXB92 from a 2009 iMac. I really do not want to upgrade my WiFi card since the older one works perfectly and I have a USB Bluetooth 4 (CSR chipset) dongle which also works great. The WiFi card wouldn't even work with Mojave if it weren't for the legacy AirPortAtheros40 / High Sierra networking kext. So I know support for it has been dropped for quite some time now from official macOS but with the magic of OC ... Long story short, is there a way to get support for this card on Big Sur WITHOUT getting another / newer WiFi card? Attached you'll see the card in question. Thanks!
