No changes to my setup....all of a sudden HomePod stereo pair (OG) only outputs Apple TV content (i.e. Apple TV, YouTube) within Apple TV. Even when I hover Apple TV apps around, it doesn't output the navigation sound, as well as other HDMI ports' output (i.e. PlayStation 5).

I've un-paired the units, re-paired, factory-reset, nothing works.

Has anyone been into this situation before and if so, how did you guys resolve this?

If the HomePods are in theater mode (audio defaulted to the AppleTV), try restarting the AppleTV if you haven’t already.

power cycle everything, appleTV, HomePod, router, and any wifi base stations.

sounds like it lost the "default output" setting, or it got interrupted,
meaning it's a hiccup in software on one of the devices. or something just got confused on the network settings.

my guess would be the HomePod, I tend to have to reboot mine once or twice a week as it will just forget who I am ("who's speaking", it's me the only person in the house), or forget my home devices, or shortcuts. reboot seems to clear it right up.

This worked like a charm. Please note, I already did un-pair and re-paired my HomePods already. After also rebooting the Apple TV now it works.

It kind of sucks that I have to do this every now and then, as this is my 3rd week of owning it and I had to do this sort of reboot twice already.

Glad to help… Most HomePod issues can be resolved by rebooting the AppleTV, provided it’s the default audio for the AppleTV. It took me a bit to figure that out. If that doesn’t work, then try rebooting the HomePod. Had a few minor issues that required a HomePod reboot as well. Get used to this lol. When it works, it’s phenomenal but unfortunately, every now and then a reboot of something will be required.
