Hi,

I have seen several people on the web mention that the 2.0 GHZ and 2.16 GHZ Coreduo cpus are fundamentally different CPUs. But I can't find any hard-references - can anyone provide me with some info?

There the same exact chip. For the most part all core duos are essentially the same. Once they come off the production line, they are stress tested then rated for maximum operating frequency. The 2.16ghz chips are just those that can run more reliably at higher speeds after being tested by intel.
