I was just wondering - I'm having a bit of trouble with Time Machine at the mo, and someone mentioned to me that I might want to do an Archive and Reinstall. I just have a few questions about it:
1) Are both my data and preferences kept, or only my data?
2) Is it safe to do without a backup?
3) Is it easy-ish to do?
4) Would it help in any other way (eg, make my Mac a little faster, etc)
I'm 11 months into my first Mac, and this had never really presented itself before now, so if anyone could help I'd really appreciate it.
