Hello,
I asked the archive utility to un-tarbz2 a library, which was quite large (more than 160 Mb) but I only had about 90 Mb of free space.
After ending the utility it printed: "foo.folder no such file or directory".
Afterwards the 90 Mb of free space on the hard disk had disappeared, even after a reboot.
I recovered some more free space, I have about 2 Gb of free space.
What can I do to free the space to which the files where unarchived? I do not care about recovering them.
Does anyone know how to fix this bug of archive utility?
I read about fsck, could it locate those files?
Have a nice day.
PS: I now have about 180 Mb of free space on HD
