Is there a way to set the 'sensitivity' of Archive Utility so it will not decompress .jar files within a .zip?

Thanks, Kleril. :apple:

Select a .jar file, right-click or Command-I to "Get Info", then change the "Open with" selection to something else, like TextEdit, then click "Change All". (Although all of mine are associated with Jar Launcher, so I don't see how the Archive Utility would be involved at all)

Misinterpreted question

Sorry if it wasn't clear, but something like this is happening:
I have a file called hasJar.zip, containing myJar.jar.
I decompress hasJar.zip, only to find the component (.class) files of myJar.jar

I must not be understanding. You decompress a .zip file and you find the contents, as you should. What's the problem?

Instead of

Instead of finding myJar.jar, I find files like myJarPart1.class.
