Archos AV400 and Powerbook

Hi,

I recently purchased an Archos AV400 and after connecting it to my Powerbook and uploading my videos onto it, I soon relised during playback that the audio and video are out of sync, yet I don't get this problem when I record from TV, only when I transfer .avi files from my Mac to thge Archos, anyone had this probleM?
I'd be greatful for any help because this is very annoying.

Transferring the file should not change it in any way. I assume that the AV400 simply appears as an external drive and drag/drop? If so you could checksum the files to make sure. Is the format/bit rate correct for the device? If the Archos is struggling with playback due to the bit-rate being too high you might see this sort of behaviour.

thanks for your help, but i got round this by updating the firmware on the AV400.
