Often when I'm watching something on Youtube (usually not HD), the video lags and stutters every few seconds. My internet connection is not the problem. Is it because I have 12 tabs open in Firefox? That really doesn't seem like THAT many...:p

I have searched and did not find anything relevant.

Gmail, forum, MacRumors, other forum, school site, other forum, Twitter, Reddit and a couple articles found there, and Youtube.

Probably, that is a lot of stuff to process by one app, in addition to video.

Why doesn't content just get paged to the hard drive when not in use, or just not processed? Most of the stuff I haven't tabbed to for hours, it's just there to remind me to look at it later. I'd expect proper memory management from something like Firefox :(

Maybe I should try Safari 4, I hear it's 42x faster than IE7 at processing JavaScript.

Well, you could try closing a few tabs to see if the video plays better!
