So I have a Macbook with a hard to press mouse button...and the only time I can get to an Apple store is just a hair past the 14 day return policy.

Is Apple that strict about that, or do you think they could do an exchange?

And is there any way I can do an exchange online?

They are very strict about the 14 day policy but if you call them they might repair the mouse button for you. I think the 14 day policy is for returns.

Its for exchanges too. I've already exchanged one Macbook cause the screen was faulty and there were knicks on the casing.

They had me open the new Macbook up and look at the casing... I should've clicked the trackpad button. :/

I'm hoping that I'm just bad luck, I always thought Apple had great quality in their products?
