Are Apple's estimates for the M1 Macs accurate enough

Okay so I placed my order for the M1 Macbook Pro with 16GB RAM and 512GB Storage on the 22nd of Jan and its been 2 days and I've seen nothing other than Processing, I still haven't been charged

Mind you I've been checking the Apple Site at least 10 times a day

My Expected Delivery Date is on the 4th of February at the minimum and at the 11th at the Max

since I live in UAE, is there any chance where I would get mine earlier than Apple's Estimate

In my experience the Apple delivery date estimates are somewhat pessimistic (worst case), and my recent orders have arrived considerably earlier.

It is normal for the status to be "processing" for several days, or even longer if you have ordered an unusual configuration.

I ordered an M1 mini 16gb/1tb on Dec 24. I got a delivery date of Feb 1st actually received it Jan 14th. So I think they're very conservative on their dates.

Before the pandemic, I would have said you will probably receive it sooner than expected. With the current climate, the estimate is probably accurate, If members here (from across the globe) are any gauge.

I made a few purchases from Apple recently and they arrived earlier than expected by a couple of days

It depends how fast Apple ships the box to the carrier and then the carrier will have a delivery date available

If the box gets closer to where you live even earlier with the carrier then the delivery date will change for a earlier time

My Mac Mini was delivered I think about 2 weeks earlier than the original estimate IIRC.

It might depend on the BTO options chosen, but I ordered a M1 Mac Mini with 16GB RAM, and 1TB Storage, on the 2 Jan 2021.

It had an estimated ship time of four weeks, and an estimated delivery date of 9 Feb 2021.

It showed a processing for a few days, and shipped on the 15 Jan 2021, with a estimated delivery date of the 28 Jan 2021.

The M1 Mac Mini was actually delivered on the 21 Jan 2021.

So, about 3 weeks early, and took almost 3 weeks from the day it was ordered.

Echoing others, all my recent purchases have arrived on or before the day quoted. One exception is the M1 MBP I bought 2 weeks ago... that I was able to pick up next day at the store. That was surprising, because for the longest time the stores only carried base spec, but they had 16GB/1TB in stock in the DFW area...

Of course now there doesn't seem to be any more pickups available at the stores, and delivery now shows Feb 12 for the same spec MBP.
