I can't seem to find out the answer to this...

I'm not eligible for a full upgrade until next year, but I'm eligible for the $399 early upgrade.

Can I pre-order on the 15th still? And does it matter if I pre-order through Apple or AT&T?

I am glad someone asked this question. I just spent 10 minutes on hold with AT&T and the CSR quoted me the $199 price for the 32GB, until he actually looked at my account.:(

I am not eligible until 5/31/2011, so I guess $399 isn't so bad.....

it's really not that bad. I'm glad we're both too impatient to wait until our contracts are over :D

You can always call *new# and it will send you a text message with your upgrade eligibility.

Its even worse for me, I want the 32GB and its $499!

Maybe I don't 'need' to keep my movies on it. I have 5 movies on my 3Gs now and never watch them. Decisions, decisions....

I actually bought and returned (within 30 days) the iPhone 4 times before I decided to keep it, so if I had kept the first one, I would be eligible right now!
