I thought I remembered reading recently that these were no longer allowed. But I searched and couldn't find any mention of it anywhere.

So does each item require its own thread or can compilation sale threads be posted?

This thread details the marketplace rules update.
https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...-the-marketplace-rules.1847657/#post-20721582

Any item listed for sale in the Marketplace must be one of four things:

  1. Purchased by the seller for his or her own personal use (used by the seller);
  2. Given as a gift to or inherited by the seller (used or unused by the seller);
  3. Bought by the seller who now regrets the purchase (used or unused by the seller);
  4. Be personally owned by and in the possession of a family member living in the same household. In this case, the member who posts the sale is personally responsible as seller.
In addition:
  1. Separate threads are required for unrelated items;
  2. It is not permitted to add or remove items from the first post of a for-sale thread.

To answer your question the rules change basically prohibits many garage sale type of threads because the items are not related.

Ambiguous meaning "related" items is very much open for interpretation.

And I did mean in the marketplace forum.
Sorry, I thought I was answering a different question - I had two marketplace type threads open at the same time.

Yes you are correct about it being open for interpretation.

I asked about this privately awhile ago, as the rule seems pretty clear. The moderation team seemed to be targeting resellers rather than a person who occasionally sold stuff they'd already used.
