Are HD Tv shows available on iTunes in the UK yet

um...
wouldn't it take just as much effort to go to the iTunes shop and check as coming on here and asking?
i'm guessing that's why no one else answered your question...
if you knew they weren't selling HD content yet, you could ask if if anyone knew when it was likely to happen.
for me, i'm not sure whether the added download time (and cap limit getting thrashed) would make HD worthwhile. and reports are it isn't real HD quality - the bit rate is too low to make it net friendly. i'm sure it looks fine but not compared to real HD.
