My 14 year old nephew has requested iTunes gift cards for Christmas. Only problem, he lives in Canada, I live in the US. I heard that he won't be able to use American gift cards in Canada. Is this true? I'm having a hard time figuring it out via google! Thanks :)

He can if he sets up another account and purchases from the US Itunes store. I have two accounts, a canadian one and a US one. I live on the border so I buy US iTunes cards to download stuff that isn't avaliable in the Canadian store.

Bummer, thanks to both of you for the quick replies. I wouldn't want to ask him to go through the trouble of creating a US account, when this is a gift. I think I can get some friends in Canada to pick up a card for me :)
Thanks anyway!
