Hey everyone,

I want to buy a MBA m3 but the prices in Spain are much better than where i live, the only con is the keyboard. I was wondering if i can just buy some stickers to have the letters where i want them or its bad for the screen?

Buying in another country may cause problems with any warranty issues, or perhaps getting warranty service, beyond just the keyboard lettering.

I use a microfibre cloth in between the screen and keyboard anyway. That would also make any keyboard sticker thing a non-issue.

Just use a silicone keyboard cover as you’ll want one anyway. The stickers don’t last.

I’ve never experienced this to be the case. I’ve purchased Macs in the various countries I’ve lived in, and when I moved from one country to the next it was never an issue to get service when needed. I always get AppleCare+ for my Macs so I’m not sure if that’s why, but there has never been a problem.

Also don’t get keyboard stickers - just replace the keys. You can get them from the Apple repair website or cheaper on Amazon or Ali Express. It’s really easy to change the keys. If you get them from Apple, there are no concerns about warranty being affected.

Thank you, i didn’t know i could do that. It sounds like the best option!

OK, I will go by your experience with Macs. I had issues with cameras and thought Apple may be the same. That is why I said “may”. Companies can get funky with that stuff.

How much different is the « Portuguese » keyboard from a « Spanish » keyboard ? I’m familiar with the differences between French and English keyboards and have adjusted.

Yeah, I get that. I don't have much experience with cameras, but Apple is really good at honoring their warranty no matter where the product was purchased and where you need warranty service. At least in my experience.

Replacing the keys are the way to go. I got my M2 Air on sale at Amazon Germany but it came with a German keyboard. I just bought the keys and replaced them and now I have an international English keyboard. The only thing I don't like is the short left shift key, but I can manage.
