Are Navigation apps such as NDrive, TomTom, Navigon etc. Compatible with Ipad? Has anyone downloaded and used on the open road? I love these applications, hopefully the resolution isn't distorted because they are written for the iphone.
I have both Navigon and the Tom Tom app. They both work just fine and run smoother due to the faster processor in the iPad.
They're compatible with the Wifi+3G models only as they have GPS. CoPilot and MotionX have both released iPad specific version of their navigations apps. Don't know about using the iPhone apps on the iPad 3G's though - I'll know by the 28th!
Thanks for the mention of MotionX. I looked it up and it is awe some.
I wanted an app that would let me download maps for vacation locales and this fits the bill perfectly. I bought it right away!![]()
I'm looking to use my iPad as a gps device for turn by turn directions. Will any of these apps do that well?
