Hello Everybody

I am using Apple iPhone 5C in India and recently installed iOS 8 beta.
I don't see anything new in Spotlight in iOS 8 and i am using Beta 5 now.
Are you new features of Spotlight in iOS 8 restricted to USA only ?

You mean the searching for restaurants, etc? Try the safari search bar. A lot of the Spotlight localisation features are for Yosemite.

Actually Hotel search is quite an obvious feature to be not available for other countries.

But, Wiikipedia search, Maps, iTunes Albums, Apps are also not available for me.
Wikipedia search was a highly expected feature by my along with other search options.

The "Search is in Wikipedia" entry just opens a Safari search, not inline search in Spotlight.

Moreover, it is being shown that we can easily add any search field in web site for Spotlight search, which is also not working.

Doesn't work in Finnish either, neither does QuickType. I am not holding my breath that they ever will. It was in the news here that Siri might be made available in Finnish in 2012. Then again in 2013. Now it's being speculated again...yawn.

Makes no sense that it should be US only though.. Wikipedia and iTunes results for example, would work in a lot of countries. Hopefully in the GM because there is no reason for the rest of the world to not get that surely

I am not hoping that advanced spotlight search feature to start working magically in GM version for everyone.

Fingers crossed.
