I've read a lot of threads declaring that the lack of ports on the " newer ( go back as far as you like) Macs" are a negative.
Wondering what your thoughts are on this?
I'll give you mine, I really don't miss ports anymore, with streaming services, like Apple Music, I no longer need 4 hard drives plugged in with my music and movies, ( I use to curate every track with artwork and movies with meta data and spend quite a few $ on apps to make everything look good and had 100K + songs and maybe 1000+ movies +tv series) , now I don't need to do anything except open an app and it works.
Airplay, AirPrint, iCloud, Drive + any 3rd party options seem to limit the need for ports, I know it works for me.
I do have a hub on my MBA and do get the need to attach some peripherals, like a dvd drive for example.
My point is, I don't really miss ports and don't see the big deal some make for the lack of them.
I know your use may/will vary, that's why I posted.
