iPhone 11 Are stars really visible on night mode?

Hi everyone.

I don’t know if one of you have ever realized that stars are visible if you take a photo on night mode via iPhone 11 even if you do not see them with your own eyes?

This is really amazing and interesting.

I was looking at the moon and thinking how beatiful and big it is tonight. Then i decided to take a photo of it but i won’t share it here. What i want to share is the photos i took and did not believe this happened.

As you all can see, there are at least seven stars visible on the photo.

I was really shocked when i saw it because i was unable to see them when i look at there with my eyes.

Have you guys ever realized that? Did you know it?

Note: The photos were taken as 5x zoom.

Yeah the night mode really is a gem. I took this in my Jeep after hitting the summit of a mountain trail out here in southern CA at around midnight. Get a cheap tripod for your phone (or stand it up on something so its totally still) and night mode enables you to do a full 30 second exposure which really brings out the stars. That's what this one was - it let me enable it because it was sitting stationary in my dash mounted phone holder.

Wow, your photo is great. Now i understand that the night mode is a gem like you say. I am now interested in the space and stars.

I will need then a cheap tripod.
