Are the 13 inch MPB speakers improved over the previous 13 inch umb ones?

From what I heard the UMB speakers were a VAST improvement over previous (plastic) generations.

I had both plastic and now UMB and although better, they're still pretty bad, esp if you listen to nicer headphones a lot

Well, uh, duh? They're notebook speakers. Why would they compare to nice headphones at all?

didnt see any mention of it. get $100 external speakers. probably find some for less that would sound way better than any laptop speakers.

lol agreed. I got a set of speakers w/ subs and they won't work w/o subs plugged in, and I live in an upstairs apt.. so they don't get much use.

yea im a headphone guy. but make sure that you get a good pair. not only sound quality will be better but they wont damage your ears as much
