Curious to know if the three large front facing fans are independently controlled such that they can all rotate at different RPM depending on inside cooling requirements.

Also, as an aside, are the holes in the front face large enough for a child to poke one of their fingers through and make contact with the spinning fans ?

Each fan has its own 6 pin connector so there's every chance they could be controlled independently. The top fan in particular might be dedicated to cooling the Xeon. Pic from Snazzy Labs' tear down:

Baby Yoda maybe, but he'd just use the Force to stop the blades!

There's actually another grill behind the artistic holes, that is similar to the front of the old Cheesegrater, but black so you can barely see it. As such, it wouldn't even be possible to push a thin pencil through.
