Are the BlackBook and New MacBook Installation CDs the same?

My brother just received an aluminum MacBook, I have a BlackBook and I tried to use his Installation Disk in my computer, but after selecting a language to use, I received the message "Mac OS X cannot be installed on this computer." Is this because of the Aluminum MB's disk or is it something wrong with my MacBook?
