Are the EFI Firmware Issues Fixed?

I want to return my recently purchased mid 2012 15" Retina and get the refreshed early 2013 15" Retina.

I have no issues with poor framerates or any stutter right now, and would hate to run into the problem.

Has the EFI firmware issue been resolved and is it safe to buy updated laptops or should everyone wait longer?

Yeah that's what I was thinking, Apple takes longer than they should to fix these bugs.

Can anyone confirm the issue?
