Hello. I am using a MacBook Pro 2010 model with Windows 7 installed in Bootcamp partition. I don't thing there is anything wrong with the wireless card as I can connect to wireless networks most of the time. However, it has happened several times that in a few public areas in Asia that provided free wifi access, people with inexpensive Windows netbooks could logon on to the wireless networks instantly while on my MBP, I could not connect to the wifi networks under both Snow Leopard and Windows 7. I asked those netbook users. They said that they did not do anything. Their netbooks just connected to the networks automatically and instantly. Anybody knows what is wrong?

Are the Mac'ss wirelss cards different from netbook cards?
