Are the new Macbook Pro Retina's safe around speaker monitors that....

are magenetically shielded? I'm using the JBL 4328P nearfield monitors for audio production. Would it be safe to use my macbook pro retina near them? Would it damage the screen in any way? Thanks.

No. Only CRT monitors, abandoned by Apple a decade ago, are affected by magnetic fields. I have two magnetically shielded audio monitors and have used them with CRT displays (standing directly beside them) and not even then were they distorted.
In less words: You can safely use an LCD around shielded and not shielded speakers.

awesome! so the retina display is no diff from a normal lcd right? was jus making sure as Im planning to use these right next to my macbook pro retina (except on the table).

I'd be more worried about your ears than your LCD in that setup.
