Are the new MBP's on display at local Apple Stores? I really want to toy with them for awhile.

M

Only the 13" non touch bar version in both Apple stores near me, I don't think anyone has seen the touch bar variant available to test in store yet :(

Crazy. I was in a store the Friday or Saturday of the release week and was told they would get the touch bar version the following week. Still nothing :(.

I also asked about the airpods and was told they are coming on time for sure (still 2 / 3 more days in October left). Just a day or so later Macrumors posted an article about further delay.

Our big store in Las Vegas had one of the non-touch bar 13". It was hidden sitting on the table among the other 2015 models.

Yes. I put my hands on one at the NYC Grand Central Station Apple store. However it was a few days ago and it was the 13" "Can't Touch This" version. After having read reviews of the confirmed lower battery life on the 2016 Touch 13", I think Ill go back and get the 2016 13" non-touch for the better battery life.

just for future reference, Apple Store employees no nothing until literally the day of. Odds are you will hear it here first.

I can't believe Apple wouldn't have these on display yet. You'd think they would have manufactured some ahead of all the preorders to show people in the stores.

Even they werent sure they would sell with the emoji bar.

my local store has several touch bar models in the back. Very cloak and dagger like, none on display, you have to approach one of the workers, who then calls the back office, who then converses with the magical genius in the back, only then are the touch models released for the highest caliber of customer. It's ridiculous. I can't order one for pickup in store but they're hush hush available.

I may pop into my local apple store on my way home tonight and check them out.

Any further updates on in store displays of MacBook Pros with Touch Bar?

My local Apple Store in Ann Arbor, MI had the 13" on display today (Wednesday) and had units to sell even from yesterday (Tuesday) - that's how I got my Space Grey 13" 3.3/512/16 in hand and canceled the order that was still weeks from delivering.
