We now have docks that give you more USB 3.0, firewire, ThunderBolt and audio ports. There's even a product by Sonnet that allows you to expand PCIe slots, but what's the limit? Could they make a dock to give you more RAM slots or add a CPU? What are the possibilities for ThunderBolt peripheals and where does the buck stop?

I don't think the design will allow for processing or ram, but I could be wrong. Its quite open ended for the most part, but the major drawback for Thunderbolt is getting other makers to use it. Right now its an Apple only technology, and as such the prices is high for thunderbolt products since the audience is so limited.
