I know the marketing said the speakers are better on the 11 over the XR, in fact think 11 Pro has same speakers, but has anyone compared to both?

Anyone have an XR and now an 11 and ideally heard both together, it just the 11 and think are better?

In what is it better for? Everything? Movies better? Does it have to have Dolby to get the full better sound, or is it better on everything, , videos from web sites, music etc.

I have both sitting in front of me and just ran a quick A/B test (moving in stereo by the Cars). The 11 has noticeably better speakers - music sounds more full & less tinny, but overall volume is approximately the same. I'm impressed.

Thanks for that. Could I ask you to do some more testing?

Try movie trailer from iTunes which will have all Dolby etc on.

Try a website review with a video, and difference?

YouTube?

Thanks

Tried some movie trailers from iTunes (John wick 3, Spider-Man). The 11 sounds more immersive, and somehow has more of a “3D” stereoscopic sound. It’s better than the XR. But I’m also in my quiet kitchen running these tests and listening for the differences. To put meaningless arbitrary numbers on this for quantification I would say the sound on the 11 is ~20% “better.”
