Are the system board and logic board the same?

Are the system board and logic board the same? My daughters macbook needs a new system board and it is less than 2 yrs old. I have already had to replace the hard drive and I am trying to see if it is worth repairing or not.

Yes, Apple call the system board the logic board.

Thank you....I was quoted that the system board for her macbook would be $939 although after some research I have found them for much less
