No software can claim it’s backups are foolproof, so how does one know if a backup is going to fail a restore? One can test one's backups, BUT that is VERY time consuming and not foolproof.

Good backup software should be able to verify a backup at any time, not just after the backup.

Does anyone know of any programs that will do verification?

Instead of doing back-ups I just reclone my drive every month using Carbon Copy Cloner, I reclone to an external drive that way if I have a problem with my hdd I can just get a new one and transfer the clone. It takes about the same time as a normal back-up.
