I use a MG iPhone 11 Pro Max which I paid cash.

I noticed on TV lately during the riots that a lot of people use iPhone 11, and was wondering if there were any advantages.

It is a very attractive phone, and I personally think it looks better than the 11 Pro Max, and was thinking of switching.

I don't use the extra camera that much anyway.

It's 6.1 inches as opposed to 6.5 inches, so subjectively, perhaps the size may strike a better balance for some? Though I feel like you're looking at this backwards; the 11 is obviously below the 11 pro max in terms of price and features, so instead of looking at how it is better than the pro max, you should look at the advertised advantages the pro max brings, and decide if they are worth it for you or if you can live without them. So OLED display with higher resolution, stainless steel design, 3rd camera, better battery life, comes with a fast charger in the box, etc.

If I had to name the one big advantage the 11 has over the 11 pro max, its the fact that there's a 128GB option. But even that's a pretty subjective advantage and only one that applies to certain people who've maxed out 64gb but cannot justify spending so much more for 256gb they don't need.

Oh dang I had no clue the Pro Max model had so much more.

It would be a big downgrade it seems.

I only have 64GB though and need more space. That 128GB is super attractive.

I’d miss OLED and battery life tho

I prob should’ve just gotten the 11 from the get go. I probably would have never missed what I wouldn’t have had but now I might miss those features

No OLED display, Size of the phone and no telephoto lens. In terms of user experience it’s not something would bother most people.

i have the 11 pro max and my wife has the 11 and whenever i use hers can tell the display at first but after a few days you will get used to it and it’s not something that’s an issue.

If you find the pro max too big then you might appreciate a smaller phone. If you have a preference for LCD displays or have issues with OLED displays you might prefer the screen on the 11.

you might prefer one of the 11 colours as it is available in more colours.

I can’t get passed the display on the 11/ XR. However if you had to use it after a few days you’d get used to it I suppose.

Yeah it may be difficult dropping the OLED display on the max for the 828p LCD on the 11. It’s a poor display for flagship standards no doubt. I came from the 8 which has a 750p LCD display so it’s not an issue for me; but I can for sure see why a sub 1080p display in 2020 would be an issue for anyone used to a superior one. I would try get a hold on an 11 at an Apple store if they’re open in your region and see what you think. The 128GB is nice and was a deciding factor for me; 64gb was too little since I l had almost maxed it out on my 8 but I couldn’t justify 256gb.

Ignoring the title from what you've written - the reason so many people have the 11 instead is almost entirely because of the price. It's $400 less! There's not much to argue being "better" on the 11 other than it's smaller and lighter.

@Hieveryone my son has the 11 coming from a XR and I have a Pro Max. I can tell you it's seriously a great phone without a doubt. Don't listen to people who say the screen is sub par, it's one of the best LCD screens made. Now the ONLY reason I have a Pro Max is the zoom lens. I've said it time and time again, if the 11 had the telephoto instead of the wide-angle I'd be all about it.

The 11 is lighter (because it’s smaller) and has an LCD screen, which is generally thought of as inferior, though some people prefer it or can’t tolerate the pled. Other than that, there’s no advantage to the 11 over the pro max (except price, obviously).

The iPhone 11 is smaller & cheaper than the 11 Pro Max, and cheaper than the 11 Pro.

That's all the advantages.

The 11 has a larger color selection too, if that's your thing. After selling your pro max I'm not sure how much you'd actually save since you won't get near what you paid for the pro max.

True about the color selection. They are quite pretty, the 11s.

Yes, OP, it’s totally necessary these days to own both phones. The flagship for home use and the regular 11 on the streets when you’re out with the buddies.

I recommend you get a few of them in different colours, depending on the fashion statement you currently want to project.

Your battery life will not be as good as the 11 Pro Max, you will get a smaller and lower resolution screen, and you will probably experience lesser signal strength and speed as the iPhone 11 uses 2x2 MIMO antenna versus the 4x4 MIMO in 11 Pro Max.

Don’t do it!

Advantages will be subjective and different from person to person. It could be said the iPhone 11 is more portable due to being slightly smaller, has an LCD which some prefer and some will say it’s a better looking phone from a design perspective. It’s up to you whether you agree and what points you prefer.
