Looking for an ipad2 in time for the holidays, either a 16GB or 32GB and am just wondering if there are any deals out there other than 10% refirbushed from Apple?

Thank you

I've seen some places that have new ones for $50 off from time to time (Micro Center). That's the most off the original price I've found for a new one.

Nope. Not really. Everyone always asks me where is it cheapest to buy. Your best best is to order online from some retailers to save the Sales Tax (let's not get into whether or not sales tax needs to be later paid for). Beyond that, there rarely is ever a deal on them. My company gets a discount from Apple, but that is only $10 on a base iPad. By the time I pay sales tax to apple, it is cheaper just to buy from Macmall.com.

Just my .02 worth.

Not a price savings, but Best Buy has No Interest for 18 months atm. If you have a BB card.

If you don't you can get one and you get I think $20 off.

We bought our iPad from Apple store during their last Blackfriday sale for $50 off, basically pays for TAX. Plan to do the same this year for an iPad2, unless if Microcenter deal comes back again.

Cheapest I've seen IS the refurb products on Apple.com. I am considering buying an iPad 2 refurbished for the advertised $450 price. Or just getting the original iPad for $350 refurbished. But I have an iPhone 4S, so if I end up getting any apps for the iPhone that require the A5 chip, I want to use them on the iPad too.. which is why i'm leaning towards the iPad 2.

anyone know if i should jump on this target deal with the $40 gift card and 5% off with target card 2m or do you think there will be a better deal in the coming weeks with black friday coming up? If I remember correctly last year there wasn't many better deals outside of the department store tj maxx that had them for $400.

Yeah Apple Refurb is a good bet as well. They are as good as new. Some even say better since they go through more QC than the assembly lines. Same warranty. They are $50 less.

I was looking into Tagret too; however, from what I read on their site, I don't believe you can combine the 5% credit card discount with the $40 discount

I was in Target this morning and the salesman said that I would get both the 5% credit card discount and the $40 gift card. However I opted to pay for it with my Amex card because Amex doubles the Apple warranty period.
