Yesterday I decided to go with the base 13" 2012 MBA but with 8 GB of RAM. Is there anything else that I should purchase to compliment it? This is going to carry me through my 4 years of college.

The case cover was a good idea and depending on your storage needs vs what you purchased, some things could be stored on a SD card (Itunes Media as a for instance).
I also got a Time Capsule for storage and backups, but definately not a requirement.

I was thinking about a Time Capsule actually. If I didn't want to get one right away are there other ways to back up my stuff? I'm on a PC right now and not too computer savvy when it comes to back ups and whatnot.
Share folder of a big drive on your PC on your local network, name it something like "MacBackup", Find Server on your Mac, point the Time Machine backups to that location.
