Hi I have the new ATV 4K since a week and, upgrading from an old ATV 3, it works great.
I would like to try some games in Apple Arcade but it seems that either a Siri remote gen 1 or a dedicate controller is needed for any game.
Is anyone aware of some games playable with the siri remote 2?

That is interesting.

There are many posts saying that the newest ATV4K with the A12 is a downgrade from the ATV4K with the A10X due to the older ATV's gaming capability.

I guess that you are proving that right now.

Beat Sports will kind of work, but without the gyroscope that is in the Siri Remote, you have to tap to move according to this guy @18:50

So I’ve tried a few games. If you try to download any game that needs first gen Siri remote (almost any game I’ve found), you get warned that you need it to play. You have to press continue instead and you finally get the game. Many of them actually works well with gestures, but buttons are hit and miss. In many cases the layout is different, but you can figure it out. In 2 games center button is not working and you can not select options or starting the game.

probably games just need to be updated, but Apple could also have taken care of this, creating some kind of auto mapping and allowing to play

The Apple Arcade games might have a good chance of being update, but in general I noticed that the tvOS version of apps tend to get left behind by developers.

There have been many games that once worked on tvOS that have a lot of bugs, just stopped working, or have been taken off of the tvOS App Store since the creation of tvOS.

Not surprising though, as Apple doesn't seem to seem to care much about the ATV nor tvOS, why should the developers.
