Are there any known incompatibilities with 1TB 2,5" 9,5mm harddrives?

I've tried using two 1TB harddrives, in a Late 2007 and a Mid 2010 MacBook. In both systems I get kernel panics ever so often.

Now that my Late 2007 MacBook is back to a small harddrive I haven't had any kernel panic.

So, are there any known incompatibilities? For example based on power draw, SATA problems, 4KB sectors, etc. ?

Shouldn't be - if you're having issues with the drive in both machines it's probably just a dodgy drive.
