How to explain this, I have a zip up cover for my MB and I want to replace it with a hard case as my intended bag has no structural rigidity.

All the 'Hard Cases' I have seen are not really that, they are hard protectors that stay on all the time.

I don't want that, I just want a fairly sturdy case that will protect my MB from pressures in the bag whilst being carried or when put down on the ground.

Something like a clamshell cover that is low profile, fits the MB snugly and is strong enough to absorb pressures without transferring it to the MB inside.

Has anyone seen anything like this?

Booq makes a fairly rigid, sturdy zip sleeve called the vyper. Check it out.

Axio makes a hardshell case as well, but it is VERY hard and would be uncomfortable to carry in a structureless bag...
