Hi,
I opened my rMBP 2012 and I noticed one magnet on the left side rotated 90 degrees next to the battery cells. See pic:

The other side doesn't have any magnet on it (but there are on the bottom), and overall this created a vacuum between the case bottom and the hardware, so I could press on the aluminum from the outside inside - you could here the sound as well, like it's bent. I removed this magnet and now everything is fine again - the question is, do I need it? is there by mistake? My only guess would be that the magnets there for circulation, but overall it's weird that they are so "high" compared to everything else (and as you can notice, inside these plastic containers, there are magnets as well).
