Write out your idea. Put it in an envelope and seal it. Put your name and address on it and mail it, to yourself. Now the envelope will have the date on it. Save it to prove your idea was conceived by that date if any dispute arises.

Short version attached. (All math & physics produced by different LLMs, mine is core idea.)
It’s not a perpetual motion machine is it?

You do realize LLMs can’t actually think or reason? They just predict what their next word should be based on whatever previous word they spewed out.

It’s the same idea as “a thousand monkeys on a thousand typewriters hitting keys at random”, but with all the ungrammatical stuff filtered out so it looks convincing to the untrained eye. Practically all LLM output will have at least one flaw and in the exceedingly rare case a LLM produces something 100% correct it will be entirely by chance. It’s why LLMs are better suited to creating art where the subjectivity of the viewer or reader comes into play to gloss-over the LLM’s mistakes or interpret those mistakes into something meaningful. It’s what humans do.

I use LLMs to help write code, and agree with your assessment. I'll ask the same question 3 different times, slightly differently and I'll get three wildly different responses, and in nearly every case the code that is produced "kind of works" LLMS are great to do much of the grunt work with coding, but a human still needs to help get it over the finish line
