Hey guys, based on the event images from the new Macbooks, I think most of the SD card will stick outside like old Macbooks (maybe even more than them):

I use MicroSD cards only, and will use the adapter only to connect them to the Macbook,
Is there any adapter, or simple way to make it stick out less? I mean like up to the red line:

I don't need them to be SD compatible in size, just to convert pin size.

You can always try it. This is supposed to sit flush with the Macbook Pro to act as second storage. If you don't care about the fit it will likely work fine (it's a standard size anyway). There are also ones for the MBP 15 that may fit better.

Thank you for being so helpful, now I know what to search for! ?

I WOULD NOT order any of these existing SD adpaters/cards until I KNEW that they would fit the new Ninotchka MBP's, and that they would offer sufficient speeds...

transcend jetdrive was awesome in my old MacBook Pro. I wonder if they'll release something similar for the new generation.

old transcend jet drive lite

Seems really good, but also expensive, hope they introduce a cheap 512GB model for these new Macbooks.

I plan to get a 512/1TB micro SD, and use it for time machine backups, would be really nice.
