I only ask because I keep seeing this IE9 ad ran on cable (the one with the dubstep "Too Close" song) and I'm trying to understand what they're gaining from paying so much toward promotion.
 
Probably the biggest sell is if you are using IE, you're more likely to use Bing since I think it's the default. There may be other things but I think that's the big draw.
 
Wow... Obviously people have different tastes but if I was using IE I'd immediately change to Google. I really can't provide justification for why but I really can't stand Bing. I guess they have the cash but it seems like a waste of funds from an outsiders view, at least to me.
