Are there concerns of s5 screen fidelity being worse than s4?

I don't think there will be any difference.

Something to consider is if you have a sapphire display then the always on screen might be very hard to read in direct sunlight as it is just about ok on the 4 with the normal brightness but appears dimmer on the 5 (always-on) from what I have seen on the youtube vids.
