Are there going to be iPhones at AT&T that I can pick up without a reservation?

Yes, there will be. However, there will be a limited amount. You should get to your local AT&T store early. And I mean EARLY.
RadioShack told me that there will be a slim chance of getting an iPhone 4 come launch day. I'm not sure if he meant that just for his store or for all of the retailers selling the iPhone 4. But if he meant it for all the retailers, I believe it.

i would say you will have better luck at an apple store... for the 3g launch the att store ran out before noon when the apple store near me was going all day without selling out before closing

No one will get their iPhone before 7 am. That's when the stores open. So you could arrive a week ahead of opening (where have I heard this...?
) but you have to wait until the 24th until 7 am.My apple store swears that they will have enough iphones for everyone that's in line before 7 am. No pre orde/reservation needed.
