Are there speakers that won't work with a macbook?

I'm looking at investing in some new speakers, and was looking at the Logitech Z 2300's with a Creative XMod attached to them.

Would this setup work alright with my Macbook? Just not entirely sure if the connection jacks are the same. Can anyone verify?

Since this is a 2.1 speaker system, I wouldn't doubt that it just uses the standard 1/8 stereo minijack, the very same type that you would plug your headphones into.

Edit: okay saw you were planning on hooking the Logitech speakers to the Creative Xmod. I'm not familiar with the Xmod but on their site it looks like all that's required is an available USB port. The 1/8 stereo minijack from the speakers that ordinarily would into the headphone out port on your MB would simply plug into the Xmod and the Xmod would be plugged in via USB to your MB.

Yeah no problem and good luck with your purchase. Have you ever considered any of the software sound enhancers/iTunes plugins?

I use octiv's VolumeLogic and they make any speaker system sound better.
