Are these hard drive speeds normal?

Got my new MBP 17'' and installed a Seagate Momentus ST9750420AS - Hard drive - 750 GB - internal - 2.5" - SATA-300 - 7200 rpm - buffer: 16 MB hard drive from Amazon UK.

I ran an xBench test and got the following. Should I be concerned about the extremely low random read/write speeds?

wait wait wait..

something is screwy with xbench there.. your results are all much faster than mine (for the most part), but your overall score is lower.. trash the prefs and rebench..

How full is your drive?

Are you using the same drive? (Seagate Momentus 750GB 7200RPM)? I think my score is so low because the uncached write (4K) performance is sooo bad. To ansert your question, the drive is 1/3 full.

I am a bit worried that this drive which is supposedly supposed to be very, very fast (7200RPM and all) scores in fact lower than my original Apple-provided 5400RPM drive...
